ECRR Conference in Greece, May 2009

A conference on the "Criticisms and Developments in the Assessment of Radiation Risk" will be held in Greece in May 2009. This is the first announcement and call for papers for those interested in attending.

The conference will be held over two days on the beautiful Greek Island of Lesvos, famous as birthplace of the poet Sappho. The subject of the conference will be to critically examine the current radiation risk models epitomised by the recent reports of the International Commission of Radiological Protection (ICRP) and the US BEIR VII Committee.

Contributions and recorded discussions will be peer-reviewed and collected into a volume of Proceedings which will be published. There will be an attendance limit of 50 scientists. Those 12 who are chosen by the organising committee to present original work will have their attendance and travel expenses paid. 

Deadline for applications; March 2nd 2009.
